VHS and Video Tape Transfer Services

Transfer your old VHS video tapes to DVD – Our video transfer service transfers your video tapes to DVD or MP4 file so you no longer have to worry about your aging tapes.
Whether you have one tape or boxes full, Bergen County Camera is happy to walk you through the entire process – from start to finish.
Backup Your Files – A second copy is a great option to share with family or for keeping a backup copy to store in a safe location.
Your Video Tapes are in Good Hands – Unlike many mail in transfer services our orders are picked up and delivered by hand and never sent by mail.
How long is a Video Tape?
The first thing to remember about video tapes is that their length can vary depending on their format and how they were recorded.
VHS T-120 tapes – recorded in a variety of speeds; SP, LP, or EP which means a tape holds up to either 2, 4 or 6 hours if fully filled with video.
VHS-C TC-30 tapes are a compact version of VHS that fit into an adapter in order to play. Normally these tapes hold up to 30 minutes but can also hold 60 or 90 minutes depending on recording speed.
How much will it cost to transfer my tapes?
Video transfer pricing varies based on the number of original tapes, movies and/or slides we transfer, and the number of final DVDs or Blu-Ray disks we produce. If you choose, we can transfer multiple originals to a single disk (as many as will fit). We can also transfer your originals to a digital format, and supply you the files on a hard drive or USB.
Since we know that tape lengths can vary greatly (can be anywhere from a few minutes to 6 hours long!), it can be hard to know the exact length of your original videos. When you visit our store, we will take a look at what you are looking to transfer and give you an estimate. We’ll give you a full estimate with a high and low range based on the VHS tapes you bring in, before starting any work. We will take a 50% required deposit on the estimate at the time you drop off your tapes. The process of transferring your tapes typically takes about two weeks, and you can expect a call from us to let you know when they are ready!

Movie Film Transfer
Movie Film Formats Supported: 8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm
Transfer your old 8mm, Super 8 or 16mm movie film to DVD. Most if not all movie film has already started to show signs of aging such as fading, breaking and cracking. Our movie film transfer service transfers your 8mm movie film to DVD. Once on DVD you no longer have to worry about your aging movie film. A second copy is a great option to share with family or for keeping a backup copy to store in a safe location.
