MICHAEL DINGER PHOTOGRAPHY | PIT PERSPECTIVES
Whether it be an indie band performing at an underground nightclub, or a top-touring act playing to a stadium filled with more than 70,000 fans, Michael Dinger Photography’s unique brand of concert photography, known as PIT PERSPECTIVES, is sure to be at the forefront to document the live spectacle in both pictures and words.
Over the past two decades, Michael has photographed artists the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure, Tool and Weezer, amongst many others.
It all started way back in 2001 when Michael snapped his first ever concert photo of U2’s Bono with a Nikon film camera and his passion for live music photography was born. The following year, he landed his very first freelance assignment, photographing the legendary Richie Havens at The Great Hudson River Revival, a festival founded by folk icon Pete Seeger in 1966.
Inspired by the work of legendary photographers such as Jim Marshall, Bob Gruen, Anton Corbijn and Charles Peterson – to name only a few – PIT PERSPECTIVES contributes complete concert review coverage to highly regarded media outlets of the genre, including NYS Music, Sonic Perspectives and BraveWords.
