About Paul:

After winning a camera in the Kodak Pavilion at the 1964 NY Worlds Fair I became fascinated with photography. My dad was my main influenced. He was an architect by trade and worked in New York City. He often took me there and exposed  me to the many wonderful places that few 12 year old’s get to see. Although he was drawn to the “structure” of the city I was captured by it’s people. Since then I have always been interested in people and places and have always enjoyed the social atmosphere that so few people experience living 15 minutes from the greatest City in the world.

My work developed as I learned how to interact with people. I was a wedding photographer for a short time (thank God) ! I then did work for Diesel Fashion, the Apollo Theater Jazz Foundation as well as The Christopher Reeves Foundation and Epson. All of this brought me to where I am today.

I would be remiss if I did not mention my second greatest influence as a photojournalist. Without the time and help of Bob and Tom and many of the great staff at BCC over the past 25 years I would still be shooting that Kodak…and you know how hard it is to get bulbs for that!
