Canon EOS R5
The first announcement from the Canon EOS R System Announcement is the Canon EOS R5. The EOS R5 builds off of the powerful legacy of Canon’s full frame cameras offering next generation refinements in image quality, performance and reliability.
It’s an ideal choice for a large range of both photographic and cinematographic environments. From weddings, to portraits, sports, journalism, landscape, cinematography and more, the EOS R5 can handle it all.
Canon’s all-new 45 Megapixel full-frame sensor is at the heart of the EOS R5’s superb image quality. The sensor also leads the way for impressive 8K DCI cinematic movie capture with the ability to extract 35.4 Megapixel still images. Focus and speed are also paramount in the EOS R5, providing impressive continuous capture at speeds of up to 20 frames-per-second and with Dual Pixel CMOS AF II capability, to track split second movements of even the most elusive of subjects. The EOS R5 has 1,053 Automatic AF zones.
It is easier than ever to photograph people with the use of Eye, Face and Head Detection AF, or intuitively track the whole body, face or eye of cats, dogs, or birds with Animal Detection*2 AF. The 5-axis in-body image stabilization can effectively compensate for camera shake with approximately 8 stops of stabilization* with use of certain non-stabilized, and optically image stabilized lenses. Connectivity like 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth®, is also included.

Canon EOS R6
The EOS R6 full-frame mirrorless camera is designed to meet the demands of both photographers and video content creators who want a strong and versatile camera to keep up with their active lives. It can go from photographing high-speed action sports to filming 4K cinematic video with ease. The EOS R6’s high-performance CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processor are sure to impress.
The EOS R6 features the same base image sensor and image processor as the EOS-1D X Mark III. This gives the R6 a native ISO range of 100-102,400. It boasts high-speed continuous shooting. You can expect continuous shooting of up to 12 fps with the Mechanical shutter. The R6 also includes an impressive 20 fps with Electronic “silent” shutter. Either way, the EOS R6 can keep up with just about any fast moving subject. Combined with the new Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system with approx. 100% coverage of the frame, and 1,053 Automatic AF Zones, the EOS R6 will confidently follow elusive subjects at 20fps for sharp images.
Tracking subjects is easy and intuitive with the ability to track people using Eye, Face and Head Detection AF, or when tracking the whole body, face or eye of cats, dogs, or birds with Animal Detection AF. With the new 5-axis In-Body Image Stabilizer, up to 8-stops of shake correction is possible with both non-stabilized and optically image-stabilized lenses, opening up many more creative opportunities for incredibly stable lower light photo or video content creation.
Those also looking for creative cinematic video options will appreciate frame rates including 4K 60P and Full HD 120P with the option of internally recorded 4:2:2 10-bit Canon Log or HDR-PQ recording. And the inclusion of Dual SDXC UHS-II card slots combined with Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® allows for multiple transfer and automatic backup options, making the EOS R6 ready when you are.

RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM Lens
The RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM medium telephoto lens expands on the versatility of bright, macro, IS equipped prime lenses built for the EOS R system. The RF600mm F11 IS STM super-telephoto lens provides a long 600 millimeter focal length and is the first compact and lightweight 600mm super telephoto lens in the RF lineup. This lens is ideal for bird, wildlife, outdoor sports, and aviation. The size of this lens, and it’s retracting design, make it a highly portable option which can be stored easily in a camera bag and the built-in optical image stabilization with up to 5 stops of shake correction* makes it easy to use either hand-held or with a monopod. The RF600mm F11 IS STM lens will also accept an RF 1.4X or 2.0X teleconverter^ to increase your focal length to 840mm or 1200mm respectively.

The RF600mm F11 IS STM Lens is the first 600mm super-telephoto in the RF lens lineup and is more portable than its EF counterparts in this category because of its design advantage. RF800mm F11 IS STM Lens
The RF800mm F11 IS STM super-telephoto lens provides a long 800 millimeter focal length and is the first compact and lightweight 800mm super telephoto lens in the RF lineup. This lens is ideal for everything from bird, to wildlife, outdoor sports, and even aviation photography. Or, when you just want to bring those subjects in the distance closer to you. The RF800mm F11 IS STM lens features an STM focusing system. This system is ideal for not only fast but quiet focusing when tracking elusive subjects out in nature. Additionally, it has an optical image stabilization system with up to 4 stops of shake correction*. This makes it easy to use either hand-held or with a monopod. It will also accept an RF 1.4X or 2.0X teleconverter^ to increase your focal length to a staggering 1120mm or 1600mm respectively. May lose AF functionality.
With a design that enables you to retract the lens barrel when not shooting, the lens is even more compact so it can more easily be stored or carried in a bag with additional lenses and accessories. When you’re ready to shoot, just unlock to extend the lens barrel, lock it in place for stability and capture your shots, then unlock, retract, and store again to easily move to your next destination.
